How to make perfume: Orange Blossoms Perfume Recipe

What you need:

2Cups of Orange blossoms
Glycerin
Water

Directions:

Collect several bunch of fresh orange blossom and trim the stems and leaves.

Set a piece of cheesecloth in a bowl so that the edges of the cloth hang over the edge of the bowl.

Place 2 cups of fresh orange blossoms in the bottom of the bowl on top of the cheesecloth. Pour in enough water to cover the flowers, and allow the blossoms to soak overnight.

Gather the ends of the cheesecloth and secure the orange blossom inside with a knot. If necessary, you may tie the cheesecloth with a rubber band or piece of string.

Pour the water into a small cooking pot, placing the orange blossoms wrapped in cheesecloth in the water. Allow the water to simmer until about 1 or 2 tsp. remain.

Cool the perfume and pour into a small dark glass bottle with a tight fitting lid. Add three drops of glycerin, a fixative that will help your orange blossom perfume to retain its scent.

Store your orange blossom perfume in a cool dry location to extend its shelf life.

The article is really interesting - I wonder... have you tried this recipe on your own? Maybe you can lighten us regarding the final costs for let's say 3.4 oz bottle of perfume.

Thank you.

To kids clothing and extreme perfumes, thanks for your comments.
I have tried all these recipes and mind you that the ingredients that were mentioned here are so easy to spot in your local shopping malls. Just head over to a shop that sells scented candles, essential oils...
Jojoba oil is a little expensive since it cost $16-$17 per 16oz while the rest of the essential oils that were needed here cost somewhere around $7-$8 per 10ml.
So for your question regarding the final cost for a 3.4 oz homemade perfume, it will only cost you NOT MORE than $2. It could even cost you as little as 70cents :)
